1891 June 11, 4th Class Post Office established as Acorn, Humboldt, California located 8 miles northeast of Korbel and 23 miles southwest of Hoopa. An acorn harvesting site for the Native Americans.

1892 November 21, Post Office moved 4 miles south with George L. Sowash as the Postmaster.

1894 December 17, William O'Donald, Postmaster.

1896 November 17, John F. McAtee, Postmaster.

1904 December 31, Post Office disocntinued and the service moved to Korbel.
