Albeeville > Albee

This post office was established 5 March 1862 in what was Klamath County until the county was dissolved 28 March 1874. Albeeville was discontinued 2 April 1863 and then re-established as Albee, 1 November 1952 in Humboldt County until discontinued 11 June 1962. Located 1 1/2 miles south of Eureka, the location now is within Eureka city limits. Named for J.P. Albee, the first postmaster.
