1893 March 25, 4th Class Post Office established as Blaine, Humboldt, California located 14 miles north of Trinidad and 8 miles south of Orick. Named for James G. Blaine, United States Secretary of State.

Nellie M. Plitsch, First Postmaster.

1895 January 14, Eunice A. Foss, Postmaster.

1895 April 15, Post Office disocntinued and the service moved to Elk.
