Bed Rock

1870 April 15,  4th Class Post Office established as Bed Rock, Klamath County, California, located approximately 6 miles northwest of Burnt Ranch, Trinity County. Name is a placer mining term wherein the miners clean out the river bed to bedrock to recover gold in pockets in the rock.

1872 December 12, Post Office discontinued.
