1857 November 18, 4th Class Post office established as Cottage Grove, Klamath, California, located 32 miles north of Orleans.

James M. Fry, First Postmaster.

1862 April 7, J H Schanck, Postmaster.

1862 August 18, William Elliott, Postmaster.

1872 February 7, Post Office discontinued.

1874 March 28, Cottage Grove, the mining camp or village, now in Siskiyou County, as Klamath County has been dissolved.

1875 January 21, Cottage Grove, Siskiyou County, California Post Office established. William Elliott, Postmaster.

1898 May 21, R L Smith, Postmaster.

1898 November 15, Post Office discontinued and the service moved to Teneyck.
