1858 June 15, Post Office established as Sawyers Bar, Klamath County, California  located 25 miles southwest of Etna. Named for Dan Sawyer, credited with the discovery of gold at the site.

1861 May 28, Joseph A Luckett, Postmaster.

1861 August 31, Josiah Cave, Postmaster.

1862 March 7, William Grant, Postmaster.

1867 June 4, Andrew F. Wagner, Postmaster.

1868 November 10, Richard Doran, Postmaster.

1874 March 28, Post Office now located in Siskiyou County.
