1889 June 12, A 4th Class Post Office was established as Ashton, Lassen, California, beside Ash Creek located 20 miles southeast of Adin and 13 miles west of Madeline.

Benjamin Bath, First Postmaster.

1890 February 11, Eliza Jane Bath, Postmaster.

1897 June 4, The Post Office was moved 1 mile northeast from its original location and Carrie F. Bath became the Postmaster.

1898 June 20, John F. Bath, Postmaster.

1900 September 23, Red Bluff Daily News - Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Andrews, who have been visiting friends at Corning, Tehama, Elder Creek and this place [Red Bluff], will start today for their home in Ashton, Lassen county, where Mr. Andrews is now engaged in the cattle business. They will go by way of Burney Valley and Fall City.~

1900 November 30, Post Office discontinued when the service moved to Madeline.~
