1912 July 29, 4th Class Post Office established as Fairport, Modoc County, California, located 2 miles southwest of New Pine Creek, Oregon. The site was a Southern Pacific Railroad Station where products such as timber and cattle were brought in from the west side of Goose Lake to be shipped by rail. Ferries were used to cross the lake to this site also.

1932 February 29, P O discontinued and mail service moved to New Pine Creek, Oregon.
