1912 May 21, 4th Class Post Office established as High Grade, Modoc County, California,  located 7 miles east of New Pine Creek, Oregon.

High Grade is a term common to mining indicating a high content of gold.

Ezra A. Fairchild, First Postmaster.

1913 July 31, P O discontinued.

1914 April 23, P O re-established with William R. Trumback as Postmaster.

1916 March 31, P O discontinued and service moved to New Pine Creek, Oregon.
