Colin Christison, 1614 East Street, died in a Redding hospital this morning [19 Jan 1959] at the age of 72.

Christison was born Oct. 31, 1886, in Gas Point and lived in Shasta County all his life.

He retied in 1955 after 44 years as an employee of the Southern Pacific railroad. He was warehouse foreman when he retired.

Christison was a member of Dunsmuir's Mossbrae Lodge of the brotherhood of Railway Clerks and a member of Redding lodge 1006 of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He leaves his widow, Mayme of Redding; a son, Ronald of Dunsmuir; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Muriel Bowles of Sacramento; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Darrah of Redding and Mrs. Bessie Domenici of Weaverville; an uncle, H.H. Shuiffleton, Jr. of Redding and two grandchildren.

The Rev. Allen Sowards will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. at the Meininger-Dusel mortuary. Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.

[Colin was the son of Colin Christison (1846-1912) and Mary Shuffleton Christison (1859-1923) of Gas Point.]
