1919, Power Plan established by Pacific Gas and Electric Compnay (PG&E) at this site.

1922 September 21, 4th Class Post Office established as Caribou, Plumas, California located on the North Fork of Feather River 10 miles northeast of Belden. Named for Johnny Cariboo, placer miner of 1850.

Carrie A. Menzel, First Postmaster.

1936 May 1, Alvah E. Hodges, Postmaster.

1938 February 1, Mrs. Orena M. Hodges, Postmaster.

1957 November 12, Constance C. Mower, Postmaster.

1961 June 10, Changed from 4th Class Post Office to Rural Station of Belden.

1966, Changed to Rural Branch.

1973 March 31, Changed to Rural Branch of Oroville, Butte County.

1976 June 30, Discontinued.
