Butte Valley

1887 September 10, 4th Class Post Office established as Butte Valley, Plumas, California located 9 miles southeast of Prattville. Butte Valley is situated near the south end of Butt Valley. The name "Butt" commemorates Horace Butts, early settler.

1905 April 12, Elizabeth Butterfield, Postmaster.

1907 December 10, Edith Pearl Savercool, Postmaster.

1909 September 9, Carrie Savercool, Postmaster.

1912 July 31, Post Office discontinued and the service moved to Seneca.
